What torso length should I get?

To find your torso length, measure the distance between your seventh cervical vertebra and the shelf of your hipbones. Do this by standing up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart. Tilt your head forward and place your hands on your hips, thumbs to the back. With a flexible tape, have someone measure from the most prominent vertebra at the base of your neck to an imaginary line drawn between your thumbs. This will be your torso length.

Superior One Torso Length

Regular Torso 18”-21”

NOTE: Vapor suspension packs do not have adjustable torso lengths on the pack body.

What size hipbelt?

Our Vapor Belt is standard equipment on all of our packs with the Vapor Suspension. This belt is a “soft” belt. It has no plastic exoskeleton like our other belts. Although it is our simplest interchangeable belt, it still boasts hip stabilizers, dual density foam and a stretch woven fabric.

Hip Belt Sizing
Small 26"-30"
Medium 30"-34" (Product comes standard with Medium Hip Belt)
Large 34"-38"
XLarge 38"-42"
Women's belts are sculpted to fit the increased angle of women's hips

Details

The Expedition Series Packs are designed and built to be the ultimate canoe-tripping companions. The anatomically designed harness system and foam padded back panel hugs your body and puts the weight of the load close to your back and on your hips. Heavy-duty side lift handles and haul loop make lifting the pack out of the canoe and putting it on your back easy.

  1. Outstanding pack, especially for large objects. Review by B-man

    Fit

I use the Superior One for several purposes, but mostly as a long haul pack for inflatable standup paddle boards and associated gear. The pack is basically perfect for the job, and gives me real range for seeking good SUP whitewater and virgin flats. I have three different models of your packs and frequently recommend to other SUP paddlers as an upgrade from the usual limited function packs that sometimes come with the product. All three are great, but this one is my favorite. (Posted on 1/16/2016)
