Save the Boundary Waters
The Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters was founded in the spring of 2013 by local residents in Ely, Minnesota, and has grown into a national coalition of nonprofit organizations and allies committed to the goal of permanently protecting the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Specifically, the Campaign is working to keep Twin Metals and others who propose sulfide-ore copper mining in that area from polluting the watershed of this national treasure and damaging the stable and sustainable economy of its wilderness edge communities.

Warrior Expeditions
In 2012, after returning home from three combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Warrior Hike founder Sean Gobin hiked all 2,185 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Recognizing the therapeutic effects of long distance hiking, Sean created the “Walk Off The War” Program which is designed to support veterans transitioning from their military service by thru-hiking America’s National Scenic Trails.
