Great build quality Review by Ct

I have this pack for smaller/daily excursions and use, and a blaze ac 60 for longer hikes. GG makes consistently great packs and this one is no different. F&F are far beyond the price i paid for this bag and every aspect of it is expertly designed. I wish the straps were adjustable from both ends so as to better tailor the fit ,but for the money this pack is superb. I live in the pacific north west and this thing sheds rain all day long . The pockets are generous, numerous, and well thought out. (Posted on 10/7/2018)
Solid pack, tons of room, but long torso Review by sazlbow

I recently purchased this pack to replace my previous school bag that had faithfully lasted me for several years. Initial impressions have been really good, well worth the investment. I never expected a school backpack to have more space than I would know what to do with!

Pros: The material does a great job of protecting against foul weather. I walked for over a half hour in steady rain with books and my laptop. The compartments stayed bone dry inside despite the pack being dripping wet outside. Overall the pack feels pretty bombproof.

The main compartments are much more spacious than I expected. Plenty of room for multiple textbooks, a full sized laptop, charger, and a 48 ounce nalgene bottle. The "rip open" zipper feature is way better than I had anticipated (I was skeptical before I tried it). The laptop pocket is nicely lined and padded.

The outer compartment organizes pens and small supplies very well with plenty of slots for everything. I especially like the small zipper pocket at the top since the compartment is the same depth as the two main ones. I easily stored a sweatshirt in it.

The outermost pockets: one horizontal pocket lined with soft material holds sunglasses with plenty of space left over. The two vertical pockets are big enough to easily fit an 18oz can in each. All with the same rain resistant zippers as the rest of the pack.

The sides have bottle sleeves that are vented with mesh on the outside to allow for drainage I assume since the waterproof outer pack material lines the inside. They are also expandable enough to take a full sized water bottle, but also secure enough to hold a can even when the bag is tossed around.

Cons: The hand loop at the top of the pack is some type of plastic that hangs toward the straps, so it is against your neck when you're wearing the pack.

I found the straps to be just a little too close together at the top, so they sit a little snug to the neck when the straps are cinched up tight.

The pack itself is for a very long torso. I'm 6 feet tall and it comes down close to mid butt, so I would be concerned about the waist strap if I had to resort to using it for heavy long hauls, but for a couple miles it's comfortable.

Final verdict: Awesome pack, well worth the money. I'm an outdoor gear snob and this company has absolutely earned my business. Keep up the good work! (Posted on 8/13/2018)
Great Pack for Weekend Trips Review by Brendan

Love the sleek look of the backpack. The material is water resistant which will be super useful for the rainy season. Has enough pockets to organize your belongings, but not so many that it is overwhelming. It is 32L so it is a bit large for my personal needs when I use it on campus, since I only carry a laptop, a notebook, and water bottle. But for weekend trips it has all the room your need for clothes, a camera, and other belongs. (Posted on 11/16/2016)
